Behaviour Consultations

Initial Session $175 _^+GST

If you are struggling with a training challenge or your dog is suffering from fear, anxiety, or stress needing a more complex intervention, a consultation is where to start.

This is the right choice if you are in need of any behaviour modification for;

As each of these problems can be so varied in severity, we do not recommend a set number of consultations up front. The assessment includes a 75 minute one-on-one private consultation in your home (or over Zoom if preferred). At the conclusion of this consult we will go over a training plan and recommendations will be made for follow up sessions needed to see success.

We may not be able to cover multiple challenges in one session, if you have several items to address we will start with the most urgent and will provide general tips as needed. To see progress it is important to focus on just a few key concepts and homework exercises at once.

Please keep in mind the greatest success will be seen with ongoing coaching. This is a lot like hiring a personal trainer, you may have all the info but the professional guidance that comes with regular check ins can ensure you meet your goals.

Referrals may also be made to other professionals such as, a veterinarian or veterinarian specializing in behaviour, if deemed necessary or helpful for your situation. Behaviour is always information and can be the first sign of many medical conditions.

Training Packages

Pro-Active $425 ^_+GST

So, you got a new puppy, or are looking to pick one, congratulations! Or you have added an adult rescue to the family. Now what?

The Pro-Active package is for you. Including supplementary materials, a copy of Lili Chin’s Doggie Language book, and 3 one-hour private training sessions. We will cover all of the essentials, customized to your puppy’s/dog’s strengths and challenges. We also offer email support through out the program to clarify or assist with anything covered.

Don’t wait to ‘fix’ problems, spend the time now to learn how to understand your puppy, meet their unique needs, teach behaviours you would like to see and prevent future stress.

Hourly Rate $125 ^_+GST

If you are not sure you want to commit to a package and are looking for help with some basic training just to fill in the gaps of your current success you can book a minimum 1 hour session at our hourly rate. Please keep in mind we do not prioritize ‘training’ over behaviour, we will first look at your dogs environment to assess any missing pieces that will be crucial to success.

If you are a new client with Freedom Dog we recommend booking an initial consultation first, there shorter session are great to focus on following up after an initial assessment.
